Boston Celtics

By thisislaw

AH The Celtics won the championship. I knew it was comming since last summer when Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett came into the mix. In the NBA finals I wanted both the Lakers and Celtics to win but, I was going for the Lakers. I wanted the Celtics to win because I would want to see Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett get a ring because they deserved. But, on the other hand I really wanted the Lakers to win because I would want to see Kobe Bryant carrying a team. He did so well all season. I wanted to see if he could win a championship without Shaq. But, it appears he can’t because he had no help. He was the only player that could take over a game. But, Kobe could not take over a game at all against the Celtics. Boston made sure when Kobe gets the ball about 4 players trap him. Kobe didn’t have that second player. For example, if Michael Jordan couldn’t take over because of tough defense then he had Scottie Pippen who could do it.  All those over seas players he had on his team don’t play aggressive. Almost every over seas player in the league are jump shooters. They don’t play aggressive so how are they going to get fouled and get easy baskets? If you watch Kobe was the free throw shooter of the team for the most part. He plays aggressive. Yes. Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol got there but, not a lot. But, I automatically knew the Boston Celtics was going to win. They say defense always win championships. The way to look at it is Boston was the number one defensive team in the NBA and the Lakers were the number one offense team in the NBA. So, that tells the outcome of the series.

I dated a guy who was obsessed with the game. He had tickets for entire season. I knew very little about basketall, until he made it his mission to teach me about it. I am very happy for the Celtics. Congrats!!!

I could definately relate, I actually wanted the Lakers to win as well but the big three was well overdue. Kobe played his heart out, but Odom and the other players were not reliable. Hopefully they could trade some of the guys and get quality players that will accomodate Kobe to win a championship next year. Initially, I thought the Celtics were no match for the Lakers, because of their victory against the Spurs; but their defense was incredible. Overall, it was a good series and i’m looking foward for a great year of basketball next season.

ha! i could def agree wit you on that note. kobe was by his self through the whole season. lamar odon, paul gasol…… no help. they were not ready to play agressively. when the celtics first started their winning streak the lakers should have put their game faces on cuz i knew the celtics was cuming for it full throttle. Garnett, allen, Pierce, House, etc were all team players waiting for their victory. On the other hand the lakers were not playing as a team everyone thought they were the superstar and only wondered up with a disappointment. Hopefully next year they will know the word TEAm instead of I.
